About us
Kent Social Care Professionals is Kent's specialist recruitment agency offering a unique service to both employers and candidates in the Social Care sector. We specialise in the supply of qualified and unqualified social care staff to the statutory, voluntary and private sector for temporary and permanent work assignments for social care professions.
Following our launch in September 2006, we opened two new branches in 2007. Aberdeenshire, Morayshire and Tayside are now served by Branch Manager Nicole Yeaman (www.aberdeenscp.com) and East Anglia is served by Branch Manager Tracy Barrett (www.essexscp.com). This extension of our service enables us to widen our support to clients with UK-wide operations. We can also offer interesting alternative work locations to candidates who wish to broaden their professional experience or simply enjoy exploring a fresh environment.
KentSCP specialise in particular in the areas of Supported Housing, Children & Families and Young People.
We recognise that there is a need for an agency that clearly understands the diverse support needs of the vulnerable people in these niche specialties.
KentSCP is run by an experienced Social Care recruitment team that is committed to providing our clients with a high quality, trusted and reliable service.
KentSCP will provide regular staff, ensuring continuity of care for Service Users. Clients will receive timely feedback for all staff requests, whether it be the occasional shift, nights or weekend staff only, or long term or permanent staffing solutions.
Jobs Fairs and Expos! We exhibit at Jobs Fairs throughout Kent and, during 2007, we set up our stall at Canterbury, Dartford, Maidstone and Medway. The Kent “Social Care Expo”, which we staged jointly with the KM Group in June 2007, was such a phenomenal success that it is being held again, on Wednesday 18 June 2008 at the County Show Ground, by the A249 at the top of Detling Hill.
AberdeenSCP exhibited in February at the Evening Citizen Jobs Fair and EssexSCP exhibited at a similarly successful Careers & Training Exhibition in March, at Colchester Town Hall.
Our activities support social care as a profession, by offering a wider range of attractive and career-building opportunities to those already qualified by training and experience. We offer advice and guidance as to how candidates can continue to progress through training. We also welcome new entrants, who are tempted to find a way into a career in social care, by suggesting voluntary work with a variety of service providers, as a way to learn more (including about themselves!) and build up a track record of essential experience
Diversity in practice! We embrace diversity, both when recruiting candidates for temporary work and for our own staff who run our service. Candidates are screened, interviewed and monitored according to the strictest criteria, to ensure the maintenance of consistently high standards of service for our clients. This is supported by our Quality Management System, which is being assessed for certification to ISO 9000:2000 standard.
