Our client is looking to recruit for their Head of Training vacancy
Job Title: Head of Training
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Location: Birmingham or Maidstone but to cover all clients services
Brief Description of Role
To have overall responsibility for the training of all staff across clients services. To continually review training and development needs of all staff and to be responsible for workforce planning. To contribute to clients ongoing development by devising, developing and implementing training strategy. To monitor the quality and levels of training provided in line with CQC and other relevant regulatory/ legal requirements. To deliver training for clients staff, ensuring all statutory and mandatory requirements are met as and when required.
Key Tasks
• To take overall responsibility for the training needs of all staff.• To continually review the training and development needs of all staff. • To devise, develop and implement effective workforce planning across the organisation. • To maintain and develop training materials. • To contribute to the clients ongoing development and success by devising, shaping, developing and implementing training strategy across the organisation. • To monitor the quality and levels of training provided within the organisation to ensure that they are in line with CQC and other relevant regulatory/ legal requirements. • To remain up-to-date knowledge of legislation surrounding training requirements within the social care sector. • To deliver appropriate training programmes as and when required, in accordance with legislation and current industry guidelines. • Source funding streams for training. • Monitor the use of appropriate funding, reporting the results to the Director of Operations. • Ensure that up-to-date training records are maintained in both the personnel files and the webroster system. • To maintain own personal development with regards to training and industry requirements. • To plan, write and implement mandatory training and updates.
To deliver the following training:• Manual Handling• Health and Safety• Medication Awareness• Food Safety• Infection Control• Company Induction• Safeguarding Adults
To source and ensure delivery of additional training required to support individual Service User needs, i.e. • Autism• Epilepsy• SLOT• Studio III• NVQ/LDQ Health & Social Care• Management Training
Managerial
• To provide monthly reports to the Director of Operations detailing progress of training and any issues.• To manage and oversee the training team for the organisation.• To attend the operations meetings, and provide updates in relation to the business plan targets and training strategy.
Other
• To work across all clients services, as and when required to meet the needs of the services.
