Our client is URGENTLY seeking Support Workers for their residential service based in Bromley.
Salary: £13,857 - £16,312 dependant upon experience and qualifications. Working 37.5 hours per week.
Our client runs a very unique service, in fact only one of it’s kind in the country.
Service users live within a residential home, although they have their own flats rather than bedrooms. The client provides a transistional service from people coming out of residential care that do not need to be there, with the aim of them moving into independent or supported living within the community.
Service Users are responsible for their own cooking/cleaning unless they are physically unable to do it themselves in which case they will be responsible for directing support worker instead.
This is a service for adults with Learning Disabilties aged between 19-56 years old. Most are in their 30's or 40's. The main focus of the cleint is to support the service users to be as independent as possible, encouraging them to make choices and take responsibility for their own lives.
You will have experience of working with physical disabilities as some service users have either – Cerebal Palsy, ABI, Muscular Dystrohpy, Spina Bifida etc.
The service is easily accessable by public transport.
