My client is URGENTLY seeking a Registered Care Manager to be based in West & East Sussex
SALARY: Basic £29,400 - £33,260per annumAdditional Benefits:
Group Stakeholder Pension Scheme (optional)
Occupational Sick Pay (after completion of probationary period)
20 days annual leave entitlement per annum plus Public Bank Holidays.
Working hours 40 per week Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, plus on-call duties for your home and for the company as required
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The overall management of the home as a whole, including the staff team, the welfare of the young people in the clients care, the house budget and the resources and fabric of the home and maintenance of good practices of care as required by the company and OFSTED.
Requirements of the role -
You will have previous Management experience working within a similar environment dealing with children and young people
You must be able to build appropriate relationships with young people and form good communications.
You will be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleague’s young people and their families as well as other professional organisations.
You will have the ability to communicate orally with team colleagues and others.
You will have the ability to write clear concise reports.
You will have the ability to drive and provide evidence of a clean driving licence.
The ability to understand the needs of a young person and meet those needs through planning and assessment.
You will be able to show emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours.
You will understand and actively participate in the role of the team in the home. You will possess a minimum of 2 years working with children and adolescents in a residential setting
You will have good knowledge of computer skills.
You will have experience with and understanding of the Commission of Social Care Inspections (OFSTED)
You will have a detailed knowledge of the Children’s Act 1989, with knowledge of de-escalation skills and appropriate methods of control in residential care.
You will have a good knowledge of Child Protection procedures and a good knowledge of Equal Opportunities.
Desireable qualifications:
Qualified Social Work status (e.g. DipSW, CQSW)
NVQ Level 4 in Management
NVQ Level 4 in Care
Willingness to undertake additional NVQ qualifications and all training provided
Be physically fit and in good health
