Job Description: We are currently recruiting experienced Day Centre Support Workers to work with Adults with Learning Disabilities and Physical Disabilities in the Tunbridge Wells and Paddock Wood areas. You will be supporting clients in a Day Centre environment, assisting them with activities such as arts, crafts & sports. You will also be required to support the clients during the lunch time period. You will need to have had experience supporting this client group. Hours will be Monday to Friday 10am-2pm, 9:30am- 3:30pm or 9am-3pm. Shifts are available on a temporary ad-hoc basis.
Job Requirements: We will require you to support and encourage clients to participate in indoor and outdoor activities. You will have a good understanding of Safeguarding policies & procedures. The ideal candidate will be pro-active and forward thinking. You will ideally enjoy arts, crafts and sporting activities, as you will be required to get involved in these tasks.
Training/Qualifications: Ideally you will have up to date Manual handling training, however this is something that we can provide.
